He holds a degree in Control and Automation Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002), a MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2005) and a doctorate degree in Automation and Systems Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
